Daniel has extensive practical experience of drafting, filing and prosecuting British, European, international and foreign patent applications. He also has considerable experience of monitoring third party patent applications; managing pan-European portfolios of supplementary protection certificate (SPC) applications; handling recordal and restoration work; assisting in European opposition and appeal cases; and providing infringement, patentability and freedom-to-operate opinions.
Daniel offers expertise across a large number of scientific fields, including plant molecular biology, microbiology, immunology, stem cell therapeutics, vaccines, diagnostics and medical devices. He works with a wide range of clients, from small startup companies and universities to large multinational corporations.
Using his knowledge of the Korean language and culture, Daniel enjoys visiting South Korea to establish new connections and build relationships with existing clients.
Daniel is based in J A Kemp’s Cambridge office. He joined the firm as an associate in 2017 after working elsewhere in private practice since 2009.
