David is a part qualified patent attorney with experience in prosecuting patent applications in the fields of enzymology, vaccines, stem cell therapeutics and immunology.
David completed a PhD at the MRC Mitochondrial Biology Unit in Cambridge where he investigated the structure and function of a bacterial respiratory complex I using X-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy. He also has experience of working in the research laboratories of a multinational pharmaceutical company where he was involved in the characterisation of models of neurodegenerative disease.
David is based in J A Kemp’s Cambridge office. He joined the firm as a trainee in 2017 after working elsewhere in private practice since 2015.
