Anthony's doctoral research looked at the semi-classical and quantum mechanical modelling of vibration-rotation energy levels in loosely bound complexes of hydrogen fluoride.
Anthony is a partner at J A Kemp, based in our London office. He handles patent work in the fields of life sciences and chemistry, covering a broad range of technologies including pharmaceuticals, polymers, electroluminescent devices, electrochemical cells, fuel and lubricant additives, catalysts, dyestuffs, agrochemicals, food chemistry, chemical processes, refrigeration systems, and general organic and inorganic chemistry.
Anthony's work includes drafting and worldwide prosecution of patent applications, as well as strategic planning and freedom to operate advice. He has extensive experience of contentious proceedings before the opposition divisions and boards of appeal of the European Patent Office. He also has expertise in the procurement of Supplementary Protection Certificates (SPCs) throughout Europe.
Anthony first joined J A Kemp in 1992. He qualified at J A Kemp and became a partner of the firm, before leaving in 2006 to work elsewhere in private practice. Anthony re-joined J A Kemp as a partner in 2015.
